About Sand Creek Outfitters

Sand Creek Outfitters is a family-owned hunting operation based in Cherokee, Oklahoma, just under 20 miles from the Great Salt Plains Lake and Wildlife Refuge. For over a decade, Sand Creek has specialized in delivering well-run, relationship-driven hunting experiences across Northwest Oklahoma and Southern Kansas.

Our core focus is waterfowl and Sandhill Crane hunting, supported by a growing free-range whitetail deer program in two of Oklahoma’s top counties. All hunts are designed around private groups, honest expectations, and strong preparation—both in the field and behind the scenes.

Five years ago, we completed our custom-built lodge, creating a comfortable, centralized base for guests to relax between hunts. From meals and lodging to daily logistics, our goal is to make each trip smooth, organized, and enjoyable from arrival to departure.

At Sand Creek, we believe great hunts are built on integrity, effort, and adaptability. Migration patterns, weather, and wildlife behavior change daily, and our team stays flexible to give guests the best possible opportunity while maintaining realistic expectations. While not every hunt is perfect, we focus on creating memorable experiences and long-term relationships with the people who hunt with us.
