About Show Me State Outfitters
Show Me State Outfitters started in 2025 with a goal of sharing some of the best hunting ground Daviess County MO has to offer. Our properties are rich in both timber and cropland, providing the ideal habitat for deer and turkey. While our hunting is rugged, our lodging is not. During a stay with SMSO your days will start and end in a newly constructed cabin located outside Altamont MO, just a few miles away from our stands. Our guides are experienced hunters themselves and aim to provide top notch knowledge and service to our hunters.

The Whitetail Lodge
Sleeps 6Located in Daviess County in Northwest Missouri, the Whitetail Lodge at Show Me State Outfitters offers a comfortable, modern retreat built specifically with hunters in mind. After long mornings in the stand or chasing gobblers through the timber, you’ll return to a newly constructed cabin that blends rustic charm with practical convenience. The lodge comfortably sleeps up to six guests across four bedrooms, featuring two private queen rooms and two bunk rooms with full-bottom and twin-top beds, making it ideal for solo hunters, father-and-son trips, or groups of buddies booking the entire property together. Inside, you’ll find two full bathrooms, a spacious living area perfect for relaxing and swapping stories from the day’s hunt, and a fully equipped kitchen that allows you to prepare meals just the way you like. A loft game room adds an extra space to unwind, whether you’re watching the game, playing cards, or simply enjoying downtime between hunts. The open layout provides plenty of room for gear storage and gathering without feeling crowded. At Show Me State Outfitters, the hunting is rugged—but your lodging is not. The Whitetail Lodge was thoughtfully designed to ensure your stay is as enjoyable as your time in the field, providing a clean, comfortable home base for your Northwest Missouri hunting experience.
