Owned and operated by Lee, Jeffrey and Jan Bryant, Wings of Thunder is a premier pheasant hunting lodge located just north of Kimball in the heart of South Dakota’s famed pheasant country. Known as a true wing shooter's paradise, the lodge delivers an authentic, old-fashioned South Dakota pheasant hunting experience rooted in tradition and built on quality.

With hundreds of acres of expertly managed hunting land, abundant cover, and food plots, Wings of Thunder offers some of the highest bird concentrations in the region. Whether you're a corporate group, a small party, or a solo hunter, you're likely to flush hundreds of strong, fast-flying pheasants each day.

The lodge comfortably sleeps up to 60 hunters and offers home-cooked meals, spacious common areas, game rooms, a smoking lounge, and a large bar area to relax and share stories after the hunt. Guests also enjoy modern amenities like wireless internet, satellite TV, and a shooting range.

Our high concentration of pheasants, first-rate accommodations, warm "southern" atmosphere, friendly staff and extremely competitive price makes Wings of Thunder the best value in the business. Wings of Thunder provides only top quality well-trained AKC registered dogs. If you elect to bring your trained dogs, clean kennels are provided. Our hunting operations consists of more than 4500 acres of prime pheasant habitat. Our farming operation focuses solely on providing food and habitat for wild pheasants including CRP grasslands, corn and sorghum fields, wooded shelterbelts, sloughs and weedy areas. Our return rate of repeat clients has allowed us to become one of the oldest and largest pheasant hunting operations in South Dakota. We accommodate both large and small groups. As most of our guests are repeat customers, booking in advance is a must. Your can request private hunts with groups of 10 or more and are limited to a maximum of 20 hunters per group.

We make every effort to make your visit an enjoyable one. Included in a day hunt are 3 birds, guides, dogs, transportation to and from the fields with lunch. Overnight guests are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our over 11,000 sq. ft. lodge comfortably accommodates up to 60 guests with 2 guests per standard "Wing" room. Each Wing is designed to allow for privacy of separate parties having a comfortable sitting room with card table, refrigerator and private bathroom facilities. There are also 8 double queen suites with private baths. After the hunt is over the center of activity is located in our rustic Great Room with bar, stone fireplace, big screen TV, poker tables and a pool table. We are ideally suited to handling corporate clients with ample space for educational seminars and conferences.
