Lodging at Wings of Thunder At Wings of Thunder, comfort and camaraderie are just as important as the hunt itself. Our main lodge can accommodate up to 60 hunters, offering a welcoming space to relax, recharge, and swap stories after a day in the field. Each wing of the lodge features its own comfortable lounge area with two sofas, satellite TV, a table and chairs, and a small kitchenette equipped with a full-sized refrigerator and coffee pot. The centerpiece of the lodge is our spacious main lounge, where guests can enjoy the big-screen TV, a fully stocked bar area (alcohol not available for sale), and a pool table—the perfect setting to unwind and recount the day’s adventures. The recreational room provides even more entertainment with a big-screen TV, fireplace, pool table, foosball, and card tables, making it easy to kick back with friends and fellow hunters. For those who enjoy a cigar or cigarette, we offer a dedicated smoking room complete with a poker table, satellite TV, and cozy seating—no need to brave the South Dakota winters. Our kitchen and dining area are true highlights of your stay. Our talented cooking staff prepares homemade breakfasts, lunches, and dinners daily, featuring fresh-baked breads, pies, and hearty meals that fuel long days in the field. All guests gather in our community dining room for meals, creating a warm, family-style atmosphere. When it's time to rest, each wing offers five bedrooms, sleeping up to 10 hunters, with two twin XL beds per room. Shared bathroom facilities include multiple showers, stalls, and sinks for your convenience. Guests looking for a little extra privacy can upgrade to a private room, complete with two queen beds and a private bathroom.
