Montana Safaris’ Drop Camp trips are built for hunters and backcountry campers who want real Montana wilderness time—without the stress of getting gear and supplies deep into remote country. Operating out of Bynum, Montana, our team will pack you and your equipment in by horseback to a remote camp location near the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, then return at the end of your trip to pack you out.
This experience is ideal for guests who want a self-directed backcountry adventure. Whether your goal is hunting elk, mule deer, black bear, or wolf, or simply setting up a quiet off-grid wilderness camp, this option gives you remote access with proven stock logistics and the security of a reliable pack-in/pack-out plan.
You choose how you want to spend your days—this is not a guided hunt. Montana Safaris provides orientation, wilderness access, and pack support, including pack-out services for harvested game, while you handle your own food, meals, and day-to-day plan in camp.
