Colorado Rifle Elk Hunting with Middle Creek Outfitters

Colorado Elk Hunting

Middle Creek Outfitters offers a classic Western elk hunting experience built around horseback access, backcountry camps, lodge accommodations, and guided or self-guided options. Whether you want to chase elk during archery season (See our Archery Listing) or head into the mountains with a rifle, Middle Creek gives hunters several ways to experience Colorado elk country.

Guided hunters can choose between horseback camp and lodge-based hunts, with both standard guided and dedicated 1-on-1 guided packages available. Horseback camp hunts offer the traditional backcountry experience, using horses to travel through rugged mountain terrain and establish a hunting base closer to the country you'll be covering each day.

For hunters who prefer additional comfort, lodge hunts provide a home base to return to after spending the day in the field. You'll still hunt hard and cover Colorado mountain country, but with the convenience of lodge accommodations at the beginning and end of each hunting day.

Experienced hunters looking for more independence can choose a self-guided horseback camp or self-guided lodge package. These options allow hunters to take advantage of Middle Creek Outfitters' camp and lodging infrastructure while handling the hunting themselves.

From September archery hunting to the rifle seasons, Middle Creek Outfitters provides a range of options for hunters looking to experience elk hunting the traditional Western way.
