Unlimited Permit Backcountry Ram Hunts

Location

Montana — Hunt Areas 300 & 501

Broken Hart Adventures offers guided Unlimited Permit Bighorn Sheep hunts in two of the very few remaining areas in North America where ram permits are available on an unlimited basis. These hunts represent one of the most attainable yet physically demanding sheep hunting opportunities in the Lower 48, taking place in extremely rugged, high-elevation wilderness.

Unlimited does not mean easy. These are true mountain hunts that require above-average physical fitness, mental toughness, and a willingness to hunt hard every day. Hunters who arrive prepared and committed consistently experience above-average success, with these areas producing one to several mature rams each season.

This hunt is ideal for serious sheep hunters seeking a legitimate chance at a free-range ram without the decades-long wait of a limited-entry draw.

Mountain goat hunts may be combined if a goat permit is drawn.

About Broken Hart Adventures

Premier Montana Hunting & Wilderness Outfitter

Broken Hart Adventures is a Montana-based outfitting operation dedicated to delivering authentic, earned wilderness experiences in some of the most rugged and beautiful country the West has to offer. Operating across remote regions of Montana, we specialize in fully guided big game hunts and backcountry adventures built around respect for the land, ethical hunting practices, and honest expectations.

Our operation is rooted in the belief that the most meaningful outdoor experiences aren’t manufactured or guaranteed—they’re earned through effort, preparation, and time spent in wild places. Whether you’re pursuing elk during the September rut, tracking mountain lions through winter snow, glassing alpine basins for mountain goats, or planning a once-in-a-lifetime sheep or moose hunt, our goal is the same: to provide a real Montana adventure that reflects how hunting is meant to be done.

Broken Hart Adventures offers guided hunts for a wide range of Montana species, including elk, mule deer, mountain goat, mountain lion, spring black bear, moose, bighorn sheep, wolves, and combination hunts. Many of our hunts take place in remote backcountry settings, often accessed by horseback, snowmobile, or on foot, with camps designed to balance comfort and authenticity without losing the spirit of true wilderness travel.

We pride ourselves on clear communication and realistic expectations. These are not easy hunts, and success is never promised. What we do promise is experienced guiding, hard work, ethical decision-making, and a genuine commitment to giving every client the best opportunity possible within fair-chase conditions.

Our clients range from seasoned Western hunters to those stepping into their first serious backcountry adventure. Regardless of experience level, we work closely with every hunter before the trip to ensure they are prepared, informed, and ready for the physical and mental demands of the hunt ahead.

At Broken Hart Adventures, conservation is not a buzzword—it’s a responsibility. We hunt legally, ethically, and with long-term stewardship in mind, understanding that the future of these experiences depends on how they are conducted today.

If you’re looking for shortcuts, guarantees, or an easy button, we may not be the right fit. If you’re looking for real country, real hunting, and an experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life, we’d be honored to be part of your next adventure.
