Dove Hunting

Book a dove hunt in Jacksonville, North Carolina at Horse Swamp Hunting Preserve & Kennels, where fields are intentionally prepared to concentrate birds and provide consistent shooting opportunities. This trip is built for hunters who value well-managed habitat, clear communication, and a safety-first day in the field.

Our dove fields are planted and maintained with a mix of milo, sunflower, corn, and millet. We manipulate the cover through practices like controlled burning and bush-hogging, then top-sow with wheat as a cover crop. We work hard to keep fields attractive and usable through the season.
