Embark on a True Montana Mountain Mule Deer Hunt

Ride deep into Montana’s high country for a classic backcountry mule deer rifle hunt with Montana Safaris. This is a true wilderness-style hunt built around horseback access, disciplined glassing, and hunting big country that consistently holds mature bucks. You’ll cover remote basins, ridgelines, and mountain terrain with sweeping views in every direction—far from roads and pressure.

Each day is focused on smart hunting: long glassing sessions, strategic stalks, and taking the time needed to make the right play on a quality deer. Your hunt is fully guided and supported by an experienced team led by a third-generation Montana outfitter, with proven camp logistics and well-cared-for stock to keep the entire trip running smoothly.

After the day’s hunt, return to a comfortable backcountry camp where the details are handled for you—warm hospitality, a steady camp rhythm, and hearty evenings capped with a home-cooked three-course meal so you can rest, recharge, and be ready to hunt hard the next morning.
