If you’re a bowhunter looking for a true wilderness elk experience without the crowds, Montana Safaris offers a remote archery elk drop camp in and around the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. This is an unguided, self-sufficient hunt designed for hunters who want solitude, big-country scenery, and the freedom to hunt independently in proven elk country.

Montana Safaris will pack you and your gear in by horseback to a rustic wilderness camp, help you get set up, and provide a local orientation on where to focus your hunt and how to approach the area. From there, the hunt is yours—hunt at your pace, choose your daily routes, and experience Montana elk country the way it’s meant to be experienced.

While you hunt on your own, the outfitter handles what matters most in truly remote backcountry: stock logistics, camp setup support, and pack-out services for harvested game back to the trailhead.
