Embark on an Unforgettable Fair-Chase Black Bear Hunt
There’s nothing quite like stalking into range of a Montana black bear you glassed hours earlier—heart pounding, senses sharp, knowing you earned every step of the approach. Montana Safaris offers true fair-chase spring black bear hunts: no bait, no dogs—just man versus beast in some of the most breathtaking wilderness Montana has to offer.
These spot-and-stalk hunts take place across rugged mountain terrain where true black bears and striking color-phase bears roam freely. Hunters will experience remarkable country and often encounter a wide variety of wildlife along the way. Travel methods vary depending on conditions and location, utilizing horses, hiking, and traditional backcountry techniques to access prime bear habitat.
This is a classic Western hunt built around skill, patience, and respect for the animal.
