About this trip

Summer Solstice North Coast Fishing Adventure

Experience the longest days of the year on British Columbia’s rugged northwest coast during peak Chinook season. This guided summer solstice adventure takes you to productive outer coast waters where long daylight hours create more time to fish, explore, and take in the wild shoreline around Prince Rupert.

Guests stay onboard the Northern Monarch, offering comfortable vessel-based lodging close to the fishing grounds and a true west coast experience between outings. As the short summer nights settle in, watch for bioluminescence in the water, enjoy the quiet of the coast, and keep an eye out for whales, seabirds, and other marine life along the way.

Hosted by Oots’n Reconnection Services Inc., this trip combines guided fishing, coastal travel, and place-based knowledge in West Coast Indigenous Territory. It is well suited for anglers and adventurous travelers looking for a meaningful, immersive experience on the water.

  • Peak-season Chinook fishing on the outer coast
  • Onboard lodging aboard the Northern Monarch
  • Feast on freshly caught fish, plus snacks and beverages provided
  • Guided charter experience with rods, reels, tackle, lures, fuel, ice, and catch cleaning included
  • Opportunities for whale watching, and other marine mammals

Designed for guests seeking more than a standard day charter, this trip offers an immersive way to access the coast, understand its living culture, and take part in a traditional and productive style of seafood harvesting. The experience emphasizes safety, respect for place, and meaningful connection to one of Canada’s most distinctive marine landscapes.
