About
There simply is no better way to enjoy Louisiana's vast saltwater fishing opportunities than with a licensed, professional charter captain. South Louisiana's captains are the best in the world at creating an outdoor chartered fishing adventure that you will never forget. And nothing could be easier. Just show up, step in the boat, and leave the rest to Captain Don. Peter’s Nets wants to show you the best that Louisiana inshore saltwater chartered fishing has to offer, whether you want to tangle with the mighty bull reds in the outside bays, to topwater speckled trout fishing in the spring/summertime. We also offer sight casting trips in the skinny water for redfish. See the abundant wildlife you will encounter on your journey. Whether you're an avid angler or a very beginner, Peter's Nets can suit all your fishing needs. We use Sixgill Fishing Products Rod & Reels loaded with PowerPro 8/30 braided line. We also offer overnight lodging on-site at Dudenhefer Charters by request for a separate fee.

Rules
License
Resident and nonresident recreational fishermen age 16 or older must have a Basic Fishing License and Saltwater License. Louisiana has many areas where you can catch fresh and saltwater species side by side. Instead of trying to determine exactly where the saltwater line is, the best practice is to purchase the additional saltwater license if you’re fishing anywhere in south Louisiana and plan to catch any saltwater species.
The following individuals are not required to have Basic or Saltwater Fishing licenses:
- Residents and nonresidents under age 16 (i.e. age 15 and under)
- Residents born before June 1, 1940, who have lived in Louisiana for 6 months.
Preferred License for non-licensed anglers – If you do not currently possess a valid Louisiana fishing license, you can also purchase a Charter Passenger License for $10. The license is valid to fish from a charter vessel in saltwater areas of the state, with a licensed guide on board at all times. This license is in lieu of basic and saltwater fishing licenses and is valid for 3 consecutive days. You must provide the charter guide’s license number or mothership license when you purchase a Charter Passenger License.
Licenses are available at special rates for seniors, military, students, and people with disabilities. Lifetime Licenses are also available.
Drinks
Bottled water will be provided by Peter's Nets. You can also bring your own beverages also. ONLY canned beer, or low alcohol by volume drinks, will be allowed on the fishing charter. Liquor is strictly prohibited.
Groups
A typical full day trip can accommodate up to a group of six (6). For groups larger than six (6) please contact Captain Don for arrangements.
Refund
Peter’s Nets has a 7-day refund policy. Charters that are canceled within 7 days of the scheduled trip will not be eligible for a refund. No exceptions. This is an occupation for Charter Captains as well. A lot of
times it is very difficult to find another group to replace the time slot that was canceled on such short notice resulting in lost revenue. Peter’s Nets asks for your understanding and cooperation of this policy.
Bad weather
Every precaution will be taken and considered in the event the weather affects the scheduled trip. Peter’s Nets reserves the right to cancel or terminate any trip in the event of inclimate weather. Your safety is
the priority over everything else. If trips are canceled before leaving the boat dock due to weather Peter’s Nets will make every effort to reschedule the trip at no additional costs. Trips that are terminated due to weather after leaving the boat launch will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
