Typical Hunt Day Schedule

• Morning pickup: Around 9:45 a.m. (legal shooting begins at 10:00 a.m.)
• Short drive to the hunting grounds
• Full guided pheasant hunt using walkers-and-blockers strategy
• After the hunt, birds are taken to the processor
• Return to the hotel for dinner and downtime

Lodging – Pheasant Hunts

During pheasant season, High-Point Lodge is not available for hunting guests. For these hunts, we recommend staying at a local Pierre hotel that offers a full-service bar and additional amenities many customers prefer after a long day in the field.

Our most common recommendation is the Ramkota Hotel & Convention Center, which provides comfortable rooms, an on-site bar, dining options, and convenient access to town. This setup allows guests to unwind in the evenings while still being perfectly positioned for morning pickup and quick access to the hunting areas.
