What the mobile home shows

The mobile home is the first tab in the Mallard Bay mobile app. Its mobile screen context is screen_name: MainTabs.

Use Home to quickly check the selected outfitter’s current work before or during a day in the field. Depending on what applies to your account, Home can show:

  • A greeting and the selected outfitter.
  • Search and notification shortcuts.
  • Alerts that need attention.
  • Quick access actions for common workflows.
  • Upcoming booking cards.
  • Reporting metrics.
  • Feature shortcuts, tips, and announcement banners.

The exact sections can change based on your outfitter account and current activity. Empty sections are hidden.

Switch outfitters

If your login has access to more than one outfitter, use the outfitter selector near the top of Home to switch accounts. Home refreshes around the selected outfitter, so bookings, alerts, metrics, and digest information match the business you are viewing.

Open urgent work from Home

Home cards and buttons can take you directly to the relevant mobile workflow when the app supports it. For example, an upcoming booking card opens the booking details screen so you can review the trip, guest information, readiness details, and payment context.

Some actions may open the web dashboard inside the app instead of a native mobile screen. Use this for dashboard-managed work such as broader setup or admin tasks while still starting from the mobile app.

Use search and notifications

From Home, tap the search icon to open mobile search for the selected outfitter. Tap the bell icon to open notifications. If there are unread notifications, the bell shows an unread indicator.

Notifications can help you spot booking changes, guest activity, leads, payments, or other operational updates without leaving the field workflow.

Refresh Home

Pull down on Home to refresh the content. This reloads the selected outfitter’s home sections and is useful after a booking, payment, or notification changes.

Weekly Digest

The Weekly Digest uses the mobile screen context screen_name: Digest.

Open Digest when you want a summarized view of recent business activity for the selected outfitter. Digest shows:

  • A weekly title, date range, and optional summary.
  • A table of activity categories with New and Unread counts.
  • Links from digest categories to the related workflow.
  • Upcoming booking cards, when there are bookings coming up.

If there is no digest data for the current selection, the app shows that no data is available. If there are no upcoming bookings, Digest shows “No bookings coming up.”

When to use Home vs. Digest

Use Home when you need a live starting point for today’s work: upcoming trips, alerts, quick actions, notifications, and account-specific shortcuts.

Use Digest when you want a weekly overview of what changed recently, what is unread, and which upcoming bookings may need attention.
