Screen contexts
Mobile onboarding uses these app screen contexts: Login, SelfOnboarding, GettingStarted, and NotOutfitter.
Sign in to the mobile app
Open the Mallard Bay mobile app and use Login to access your outfitter account.
From the login screen, you can:
- Tap Log In to sign in.
- Swipe through the intro cards for an overview of bookings, calendar management, payments, clients, and website tools.
- Tap Learn More if you want more information about Mallard Bay For Guides before signing in.
Complete self-onboarding
If your outfitter account has not finished setup, the app opens SelfOnboarding. This guided setup helps you prepare the account for mobile field workflows.
The onboarding flow walks through:
- Outfitter profile details, including business information, address, description, photos or video, check-in and check-out settings, and cancellation policy.
- Payment setup, including connecting Stripe and configuring deposit or payment plan settings.
- Listing setup, including listing details, description, lodging, add-ons, pricing packages, and availability.
On the first onboarding step, the app may offer an AI-assisted setup option. You can use it to help start setup, or continue manually through the onboarding steps.
Finish setup
Continue through each onboarding step and use the navigation buttons to save progress. Some steps require required information before you can move forward.
The Stripe payment step must show the account as connected before you can continue. The final listing availability step lets you add availability for the first listing, then tap Done to complete onboarding.
After onboarding is complete, the app opens the main mobile experience so you can manage bookings, calendar work, payments, clients, notifications, listings, and other field workflows.
If you are not connected to an outfitter
If your account is not connected to an outfitter, the app shows the NotOutfitter experience instead of normal outfitter tools.
You will see a message thanking you for registering and a Schedule a demo button. Use that button if you need Mallard Bay to help connect your business or start outfitter onboarding.
Access dashboard-only setup from mobile
Some setup workflows are managed in the web dashboard instead of a native mobile screen. When you need dashboard tools, open the mobile Menu and use the web dashboard option in the in-app browser.
