Overview

Use Availability in the Mallard Bay mobile app to control when a listing or operational resource can be booked. The mobile availability workflow is built for field updates, such as opening dates, blocking dates, adjusting capacity, and checking related bookings before saving.

Mobile screens: EditAvailability, CalendarSubscription.

Edit Availability

Open EditAvailability from the Calendar menu by choosing Edit Availability. You can also open it from a listing’s Availability section, where the editor opens directly for that listing.

In EditAvailability, choose the resource you want to update, then select a date on the calendar. The app opens an availability panel where you can:

  • Set the selected date or date range to Available or Blocked.
  • Adjust total slots when the date is available.
  • Review booked slots and available slots before saving.
  • Check bookings tied to the selected date range in the Bookings tab.

The calendar shows availability by day. Available days display slot counts, while blocked or unavailable days are visually marked differently. Tapping a day selects that day; use the From and To fields in the availability panel to update a longer date range.

Resource Availability

Availability can be edited for supported resource types, including listings, lodging, team members, vehicles, boats, gear, blinds, and ATVs.

When you enter EditAvailability from the main Calendar, use the resource selector at the top of the screen to choose the resource type and resource. When you enter from a listing, the resource is locked to that listing.

If a resource is marked single-use per time slot, the app labels it that way. If you try to mark selected dates as available while that single-use resource is already scheduled on one or more selected dates, Mallard Bay asks you to confirm before saving.

Capacity And Slots

When a date is available, the availability form shows slot details:

  • Total slots is the capacity you can edit.
  • Booked slots shows how many slots are already booked.
  • Available slots shows remaining capacity.

For a multi-day selection, the app uses the selected dates’ existing availability to prefill the slot value. Save the change to apply the availability status and total slots across the selected range.

Calendar Subscription

Use CalendarSubscription from the Calendar menu by choosing Subscribe. The app generates a shareable calendar subscription URL.

Copy the URL and add it to your preferred calendar service, such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook. After subscribing, updates to Mallard Bay bookings can appear in that external calendar.

When To Use The Web Dashboard

Use mobile for quick field changes to bookable dates, blocked dates, resource availability, and capacity. For broader listing setup, website settings, automations, message templates, or other dashboard workflows, open the web dashboard from the mobile Menu.
