Overview
Use Global Search in the Mallard Bay mobile app to quickly find operational records while you are in the field, including bookings, clients, leads, listings, quote activity, and other matching outfitter records.
Mobile context:
screen_name: GlobalSearch
Open Global Search
Tap the search icon in the mobile header to open screen_name: GlobalSearch. The search field opens at the top of the screen so you can start typing right away.
Global Search is available when you are working inside an outfitter account.
Search Results
Type a name, trip, listing, client, lead, or other record detail into the search field. Matching results are grouped by record type.
Each result may show:
- A title
- Supporting detail, such as a subtitle
- An image, avatar, or feature icon
- A status tag when one applies
If a group has more matches than are shown, tap View more for that group.
Open a Result
Tap a search result to open it. When the result maps to a mobile screen, the app opens the matching mobile workflow, such as a booking, listing, client record, lead, quote request, calendar, form, Quick Pay, settings, or integration screen.
If a result points to a dashboard workflow that is not fully native in mobile, Mallard Bay opens it in the in-app browser. You can also open dashboard workflows from the mobile Menu when you need a web dashboard task from your phone.
Clients and Client Lists
Global Search can help you find and open individual client records in mobile.
Saved client lists and client segments are managed in the web dashboard. To work with saved lists from mobile, open the mobile Menu and continue in the web dashboard through the in-app browser.
